I read an article recently about a new find in Guatemala -- the Mayans would often build over old structures and this new find was found underneath another site. It was an astronomy/mathematics workroom with formulas and diagrams painted on the walls and a couple of stone benches for sitting. There were very accurate diagrams of the movements of constellations and planets, very complex. There's no doubt they were smart people, but as far as predicting the future, I don't know. It seems unlikely they would have knowledge of something that no one else has figured out since then. Now, if they had the help of extraterrestrials, then who know.
ReplyDeleteThat is the question (if they had the help of extraterrestrials). My thinking at the time that I first heard about it was that it was a distinct possibility. However, now I have my doubts. It may have been that there calendar was entereing a new phase i.e. Time period and at that time they were busy with their own problems, like becoming extinct!!! Thank you for being the very first blogger on my site. I cannot think of anyone better to have that honor. xo
